Going back in time part 1

I remembered what the country was that was tiny: Liechtenstein! So for those of you who were on the edge of your seat for oh... the past 2 weeks, you can now sleep easy and mock me at my lack of European Geography knowledge. I throw out the disclaimer that I am terrible at geography... I'm not too bad with directions and can always navigate fairly well, but if you're asking me to name countries and their surrounding countries... well... there will be a lot of um... yea... where's google when you need it from me.

Anyway, back to the trip. On the second day in Salzburg, we saw Mozart's house and more Mirebelle Garden. Our tour guide referred to Sound of Music and Mozart as their money tree, if they can slap something with either of those two names, the product would be marketing gold! What kind of things did they market you ask? OH... you know... chocolate liquor with Mozart's name, chocolate with Mozart's name, liquor in the shape of a violin(which I have to admit is pretty wicked cool), and your usual souvenirs like shirts, postcards, etc. Near Mozart's house, there was a cafe that we were told had hundred's of years of history, and of course, we went there and had coffee, Dobos Torte, and the original Mozart chocolate(a pistachio center, with a nutella ganache and a thin layer of chocolate shell). Incidentally, now that doctors are recommending a dark chocolate dose everyday, I'm going wild! :)

Then we travelled to Lake Wolfgang, another site where they filmed Sound of Music and the sky broke loose. There was an enormous thunderstorm and guess what, we were supposed to tour around the lake. I would have preferred to cancel the boat ride, but we went anyway, which was a fantastic display of thunder and lightning. I've never seen lightning storms up close mostly because I try to stay inside as much as possible and oh yea... I live in surburbia that blocks my view of nature.

We arrived in Vienna and had an option of going to a classical concert feature Mozart's and Strauss's music. While like a good Asian girl I did study the violin and played in orchestra for a significant portion in my life, I just don't have the appreciation for it and we opted out. Our first look of Vienna was fantastically breathtaking.

Tomorrow I'll describe Vienna and hopefully add pictures!

No more metrics mostly because it doesn't to change very much to my dismay!
