We then went to traditional casual eats restaurant where my aunt definitely over-ordered. As a result, we over-ate. I think I should under-eat today to balance everything out, but that's not really working out either. See pictures below for the food. We had this delicious fried tofu with bonito flakes and seaweed. The tofu was so soft and was a great contrast to the lightly fried batter that was coating the tofu.
After lunch was some light shopping before we spent 2.5 hours looking through picture to whittle down 240 photos to 30. What would have helped is if they allowed us to look at the pictures in thumbnail view. However, we were only able to look at pictures 1 at a time. We're convinced that this is some giant conspiracy to make picture selection as hard as possible so that we buy as many pictures as possible. I am happy to say that we outsmarted the system and selected the agreed upon amount...
Today, we had to drop Hiro off at the airport. Before we sent him off, we of course had to feed him. See the rice burger and the sandwich pictures below. The bread for the sandwich is actually french toast...
Oh! another exciting food news is we visited the store that won 2010 Bakery Master Competition. It was a huge honor as it was in Paris and Taiwan is not traditionally known for it's crusty bread. We went to the store and there was nothing there! Everything was sold out and we had to wait for bread that was coming out of the oven...it was totally worth it! Even though this wasn't the bread that won the competition(you have to wait until June for that... it's sold out until then), it was delicately crusty on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside... in a word heavenly...
See below for pictures!
